1. Who we are
These terms apply when you order worktops from Surfaceco Ltd, Unit 10, Cowley Mill Trading Estate, Longbridge Way, Uxbridge UB8 2YG. Email info@surfaceco.uk, phone 01895 255 455.
2. Online quotes
Prices from the Design Studio and in your PDF proposal are indicative. They include VAT, templating, delivery and installation for the options and dimensions you entered. Your proposal is valid for 30 days from the date shown on it.
Your final price is confirmed after our free laser template, which measures the exact shape of your units and walls. If the template differs from the dimensions you entered, we will tell you the new price before we fabricate.
3. Deposit and payment
A deposit of £200 secures your slab and your template date. The balance is due on completion, once you are happy with the installation.
4. Templating, fabrication and installation
We template once your base units are fitted. Fabrication and installation typically take 5 to 7 days from template. Most kitchens are installed in one day. Dates are estimates, and we will keep you informed if they change.
Plumbing, electrical work and removal of existing worktops are not included unless we state them in your confirmed quote. You can ask us to include removal of existing worktops and supply of undermount sinks.
5. Natural stone and renders
Renders and swatches on this website are illustrative. Natural stone varies from slab to slab in colour, veining and markings. Engineered surfaces can also vary between batches. We invite you to choose your exact slab at our Uxbridge showroom, or to order free samples, before fabrication.
Interior items shown in the Design Studio, such as cabinets, handles and flooring, are for visualisation only. They are not included in the price.
6. Price beat promise
If you bring us a written quotation from another supplier for the same material, thickness and detailing, we will beat it. We will ask to see the quotation before we confirm your price.
7. Free samples
You can request up to three free samples per request. Samples are for choosing your surface and remain the property of Surfaceco.
8. Changes and cancellation
Your worktops are made to your measurements and specification. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the 14 day right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your specification. Contact us as early as you can if you need to change or cancel an order, and we will tell you what we can do.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
9. Our responsibility
We supply and install worktops with reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.
10. Complaints
If something is wrong, tell us at info@surfaceco.uk or on 01895 255 455 and we will work with you to put it right.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring a claim in your local courts.
